In a spinning mill running hundreds of machines, even a few percentage points saved on electricity per shift add up to a meaningful number over months and years. That was the spirit behind the training course held at Vinatex Hong Linh Joint Stock Company on September 12, 2026.
The course was jointly organized with ENERVI Vietnam Environmental Energy Joint Stock Company, led by trainer Dinh Quang Trung, Lead Auditor for ISO 45001 and ISO 50001. Over the course of a full day, participants moved from foundational concepts to in-depth application: starting with an overview of the training's objectives, structure, and core terms and definitions, then working through each clause of ISO 50001:2018 in turn - context of the organization, leadership, planning, support, operation, performance evaluation, and improvement. The trainer also took time to highlight the key changes compared to the earlier ISO 50001:2011 version, helping participants understand not just what the standard requires, but why it evolved and what that means for their own factory.
The most engaging part of the day was the group discussions, where theory met practice: participants identified the internal and external issues affecting their energy management system and mapped out relevant stakeholders and their expectations - all grounded in Vinatex Hong Linh's own operating context and real energy consumption data, rather than generic examples.
18 staff members from the factory took part in the training, which concluded with a final assessment. Notably, 100% of participants passed the test - a strong sign that the content was well absorbed and that the Vinatex Hong Linh team is ready for the next steps in building an internationally aligned energy management system.
